Prayer Updates
The importance of the "Boiler Room"
LAST UPDATED: SEPTEMBER 1, 2006

The Kuests believe that their PrayerTeam is the backbone of their ministry. Those of you who have been a part of one of their church ministries have heard them talk about the importance of “The Boiler Room.” The famous English preacher Charles Haddon Spurgeon always claimed that the people who met during each service in a converted boiler room were the secret to the success of the church.

Bob and Peggy covet your prayers and each month will post their Ministry Updates at this site for their PrayerTeam to check.

A Humble Request
We are in need of your help and prayers concerning our monthly financial support. Other than a couple of prayer requests, we have not made an appeal for personal support for over five years. Now, we feel the need to inform you about our situation.

During our recent training in Florida we were taught how to put together an excellent presentation to share our ministry with potential financial partners. We will not bore you with how much has gone wrong trying to get our presentation ready to share. However, here we stand less than a month from beginning the busiest schedule of our ministry, and we have no presentation to share and time to make the appointments to share it. According to our teacher, by writing this general letter we are doing everything wrong. However, our faith is in God as our source and He has been faithful. To be honest, we don’t know if the problems we have experienced in preparing our presentation have been the result of a spiritual battle or God saying, “Just trust me.”

Since August 2005 we have had five partnering churches discontinue their support. One closed its doors, two were having financial troubles and two rewrote their mission policy and our ministry no longer fits their profile for the type of mission work they wish to support. Added to this have been three or four individual providers who have had to cut back on the monthly amount they can send.

Our total annual budget is $79,606 (or $6,634 monthly). Of this $50,856 covers our salary, health insurance and office expenses. $28,750 covers our travel and ministry expenses. At this present time we need to raise an additional $1,000 a month to meet our budget.

We are continuing to work to get our ministry presentation produced. If we do we will send it to potential partners. In the mean time, please join us in prayer for this need. If you desire to join our Provision Team, you can send a check made to New Mission Systems International with our name on the memo line. Mail it to P.O. Box 547 Fort Myers, FL 33902.

Prayer Points
From now until September 20th, please keep these items before the Lord:

1. Please pray for our preparation for the three teaching projects in Africa.

2. Ask God to bless Japheth and Ruth Simiyu in Kitale, Kenya as they prepare for our teaching sessions and village ministry from September 21 – October 4.

3. We ask you to hold the AfricaHope team in Narok, Kenya before the Lord; we will be with them October 4 – 7.

4. Emmanuel and Betty Zihove are preparing for the teaching session in Harare, Zimbabwe, October 7 – 18. Please lift them up to the Lord.

5. Remember Peres Airone as he and another man come from Mozambique to Harare for leadership training. Peres is our team leader in his home country. He will be leaving his wife, Teresa, and son, Levi, at home.

6. Please pray for Rutherford and Tsahai Banda and Larry and Mandy Renfro as they prepare for our teaching sessions in Lilongwe, Malawi from October 18 – 31.

7. Bob asks for your prayers as he prepares his workshop for the National Missionary Convention to be held November 16 – 19 in Indianapolis, IN.

Thank you for your prayer support. Without you we would be weak.
